What is a Swag?
Thanks for following and supporting The Swag.
Over the course of the next few months I'm going to 'drip feed' insights into my Swag journey - for me it's been epic. I've actually wanted to give up so many times, it's been a lot of constant hard work and late nights - especially hard when you're working full time with two little people to look after. But, it was worth it. I've set a great example for my kids to throw yourself into life and I'm proud of that!
For those of you who may not know or live outside of Australia or New Zealand, 'a swag' is a traditional term for a portable sleeping unit. It is normally a bundle of belongings rolled in a traditional fashion to be carried by a foot traveller in the bush. Before motor transport was common, foot travel over long distances was essential to agriculture in the Australian bush. Australia has a very famous song called 'Waltzing Matilda' written in 1895 by legendary Australian poet Banjo Patterson. Its all about a jolly swagman and the song is considersed Australia's 'unofficial' anthem.
The Swag has only just begun it's own personal journey, on foot and we're excited about where this road leads - come with us & join The Swag movement.
