Sorry, currently out of stock
The Bread Swag is the best way to store Artisanal or Sourdough bread. It is 100% natural, reusable, and machine washable, and a non-toxic alternative to plastic bags.
Simply take your Bread Swag to the market or bakery and say goodbye to plastic. The Bread Swag is perfect to store whole loaves of artisan or sourdough bread. It is not recommended for processed white bread. This multi-layered Bread Swag allows your bread to breathe and reduces sweating.
Your precious bread will be breathing in the air from a 100% natural environment, rather than breathing in the air from within a toxic plastic bag... eeek!
The Bread Swag is the best way to store large, long or round loaves of Artisan or sourdough bread, breadsticks or bread rolls.
- Multi-Layered Bag
- Handy Drawstring
- Made from 100% Unbleached, Unseeded Cotton Materials
- 100% Sustainable & Compostable (except for the care label)
- Ethically & Fair Trade produce (SEDEX)
W: 29cm x H: 41cm Gusset: 8cm.
(Works well for large, long or round loaves, breadsticks, and bread rolls - Artisan or Sourdough recommended only).
We always recommend putting your Bread Swag through a wash cycle before first-time use.
Simply place your Artisanal or Sourdough loaf into the Bread Swag and draw the string tightly pushing out any excess air. Store your Bread Swag in the fridge, freezer or pantry.
For extra protection, wrap a sheet of baking paper around your bread before putting it into the Bread Swag. When needed, turn inside out, and cold machine wash preferably with non-toxic washing powder. Dry in full sun (do not use the dryer due to shrinkage)... and repeat!
Replaces all other wrappings, and fits nicely inside the bread box as well
Over the years I have tried several different items to cut back or eliminate the use of plastic with bread, rolls, etc. I have tried the beeswax sheets, which were okay short-term, if I could get them to fit everything, and I have tried unbleached muslin cotton bags as coverings, and I have tried parchment paper, and waxed paper. All of these were okay, and better than plastic, but nothing like the Bread Swag. I can fit several different types of bread product into the bag altogether, and the bag still fits inside my bread box, which is a roll-top, oblong stainless steel with tempered glass style. Together, this has made for much less waste (though we still put some bread aside for visiting birds...). The Bread Swag is easy to clean and dry, as are all my other Swags, and I am very pleased with this product.

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on our much-loved Bread Swag!
We are actually bringing out a new design (sshhhh!) very soon, which will help to minimise any air getting into the Bread Swag even more... so stay tuned for that.
Best, The Swag Team
